PPC, SEO and Social Media - Which is best for me?

The primary feature of a PPC service would be to generate leads or sales for the client, however, PPC could also be used to achieve results in other areas such as branding. Usually if a client is looking for branding/brand awareness I would suggest they take our a social media package as this is more tailored to increasing brand awareness, not sales. The final service that I offer is an SEO package. This is more of a long term plan and can benefit with both sales/leads and brand awareness. Ultimately, all of these services aim to give a strong ROI for my customers.

PPC

The primary benefits of PPC are (generally) increased lead generation/sales which in turn results in increased profits for a business. There is also an element of brand awareness that comes with PPC, particularly for those advertising through the display network as this targets potential customers who may not be actively looking for your product or service through the search network. Unlike SEO, PPC works quickly and can get your ad to the top of the Google listings with almost immediate effect.

Social Media Management

Generally, I would suggest this service to people who are looking to up their presence on social media or increase brand awareness for their business/product. Social media is also great for people who don't have a website or who are looking to share information about their business more locally. I would not necessarily expect there to be a huge increase in ones sales due to social media management but it certainly helps to increase awareness and attract attention to a brand. It also keeps customers engaged; they may not think to search for you on Google but if they see you posting on social media, it once again keeps your brand in their mind.

SEO

This is more of a long term commitment and may not be suitable for everyone. It's unlikely to bring increases in sales quickly but is ultimately more than worthwhile as it has the potential to get your business to the top of the Google organic listings. Organic listings are not paid for like PPC ads and therefore SEO saves you money in the long term. It also offers benefits such as links to your website from other sites; these are links and are a vital part of SEO. It also provides you with engaging blog content for your website which can then be used on other marketing channels such as social media which in turn can bring traffic to your website.
